What is PBIS?
PBIS is a framework used in schools across the nation to improve student behavior, promote social-emotional growth, and create positive school climates. Rather than focusing solely on discipline, PBIS emphasizes teaching and reinforcing clear expectations, celebrating positive choices, and providing interventions and supports when students struggle. It is a proactive, research-based system designed to help all students feel safe, respected, and ready to learn.
At Snowline, PBIS is a cornerstone of the district’s mission to educate, inspire, and prepare. By establishing consistent expectations and creating supportive environments, PBIS provides the building blocks of education—ensuring classrooms are focused on learning, students are encouraged to grow, and everyone feels empowered to succeed.
