Vacation / Sick Time Accrual

 

Certificated

Sick Leave - Sick Leave is earned 1 day per month, for a total of 11 days per school year.

Certificated employees earn one day of sick leave for each month of service during the year. Sick days will be posted to employees account at the beginning of service or at the start of school year. These days may be used for employee illness. A maximum of nine(9) days may be used as personal necessity. These days are deducted from sick leave.
 
 

Classified

Sick Leave / CSEA Classified - Sick Leave is earned 1 day per month.

Classified employees earn one day of sick leave for each month of service through year three and 1.25 days of sick leave per month upon completion of three-years of service. Sick days will be posted to employees account at the beginning of service or at the start of school year.  If employee terminates before the end of their contract, and has used all the days allotted to them, the unearned portion will be considered a dock in pay.  These days may be used for employee illness. A maximum of seven (7) days may be used as personal necessity (illness of immediate family member, etc.) of which two (2) days may be used for personal business*. These days are deducted from sick leave.

 
Vacation /CSEA Classified - The district provides employees with the following earned vacation* plan:

1.0 day per month beginning service

1.5 days per month from year 4 through the completion of year 7

2.0 days per month upon completion of year 7

1 day per month 0 – 3 years

1 ¼ days per month 4 years and over
 
 
Vacation /Classified Management
 

            1 ½ days per month    0 – 3 years

            1 ¾ days per month    4 – 6 years

            2 days per month        7 years and over

 
*Personal Necessity, Personal Business and Vacation Days must be prior approved by your supervisor when school is in session. Please use attached approval form and reference the attached Absence Reason Code.

Note: Vacation, holiday, and sick leave days are pro-rated for all part-time classified employees on a proportionate basis, based upon the number of hours the part-time employee works in comparison with a full-time employee, not including overtime. Example: 3.5 hours per day = 43.75 percent of full-time.
 
Classified employees whose primary role is student related (instructional associates, campus monitors, food service workers, bus drivers and library technicians) may be required to take vacation time during designated breaks (i.e. Fall, Christmas and Spring breaks).

Registration Process:

For the 'first time' user, to access the site you must go through the registration process. Start by selecting the Snowline Joint Unified SD in the 'District' section. Then click on the 'Register' button.
 
  • Complete the Registration form and select the Continue button.
  • Proceed with the registration process by entering an email address as your signature on the "Terms of Use" page.
  • Once the email has been entered, you will receive a confirmation email. You will need to proceed to the previously defined email account for the activation link.
  • At this point, you will finalize your registration by clicking the "Finish" button.
