There has been a lot of good work going on throughout Snowline Joint Unified School District this year!   In I.T., we are working diligently on upgrading our network and getting equipment into the hands of the staff and students of SJUSD.

Snowline JUSD recognizes that technology can enhance student achievement by increasing student access to information, developing their technological literacy skills, and providing instruction tailored to student needs. We are committed to providing all students with the skills they will need to be 21st Century citizens.

Our goal for this year is setting a foundation (of equipment and services) for our district and schools and looking at ways to add incorporate technology into the classrooms.
 
 
District Technology Goals for 2019-2020 - Setting a foundation / Infrastructure / Innovation.
 
  • 21st Century Skills for all students.
  • Preparedness for college and career.  “From Cradle to Career”.
  • Develop a Snowline Technology Scope and Sequence for our schools.
  • Update our technology Policies for student and teachers
  • Continue to upgrade our network infrastructure.
  • Continue to work with student Google accounts.
  • Provide staff development for:
    • Google accounts and apps.
    • Common Core and technology.
    • Digital Citizenship
    • New technologies for education.
  • Support SBAC testing including Interim Assessments
  • Support pilot programs (1-1 initiative, flexible learning environments, the use of interactive boards & tablets, and supporting Ed.Tech. Professional Development ).
  • Assist schools sites in developing their 3-year technology plans.
  • Provide continued support for equipment.
  • Develop a refresh cycle for older equipment.
