Enrollment Process

STEP 1:
Complete Online Enrollment application
  • To start Online Enrollment application, click here
  • To determine your school of residence, refer to the SJUSD School Boundaries. If you do not live in our boundaries, you will need an approve inter-district from your district releasing you to attend our schools. Must have this first, along with your students grades, attendance, & discipline for the past 2 years. See our District Transfer for more information.
 
STEP 2:
Once you complete your online enrollment application, there will be a link for you to click on to schedule your enrollment appointment. For any questions, please email us at [email protected]
 
STEP 3:
Attend appointment, parent/guardian must bring ALL required documents to the appointment to complete the enrollment-Please refer to the lists below to ensure that all necessary documents are brought to your enrollment appointment.
 
 
TK Enrollment
Child must turn 5 between September 2 and February 2
 
Kindergarten Enrollment
Child must turn 5 on or before September 1
 
 
REQUIRED FOR ALL ENROLLMENTS
  • Proof of age/Birth Certificate-TK/K/1/New to CA
  • Health Assessment-K/1st grader
  • Immunizations Records-current (Requirements- Snowline School District Health Services)
  • Proof of Residence-SEE BELOW
  • Verification of parent/guardian-SEE BELOW
  • Transcript/grades-8-12th grade
  • Copy of current IEP/504 (if applicable)
  VERIFICATION OF PARENT/GUARDIAN IDENTITY (REQUIRED FOR ALL ENROLLMENT)
Any one of the following with a picture ID is acceptable verification of identity:
  • Current Driver's License
  • Passport
  • California ID Card
  • Company/Work Identification
  REQUIRED IF APPLICABLE 
  • Caregiver Affidavit Form
  • Guardianship paperwork
  • Court papers
  • Foster Placement forms
  BIRTH DATE VERIFICATION (REQUIRED FOR TK, K, 1ST GRADE AND NEW TO CALIFORNIA)
Verification of birth date must be provided. The following documents qualify for verification:
  • Original Birth Certificate
  • Baptismal Certificate Duly Attested
  • Hospital Birth Records
  • Adoption / Foster Care Records
  PROOF OF RESIDENCY (REQUIRED FOR ALL ENROLLMENT)
One form of verification of residency must be provided. Must be current. The following items will serve as verification Calif ED Code 48204.1:
  • Property tax payment receipts
  • Rental property contact, lease or payment receipts with address
  • Utility Service contract, statement or payment receipts
  • Pay stubs with resident address
  • Voter registration
  • Correspondence from a government agency
 
*Affidavit form will be required if residing with another family, along with owner/leaser proof of residence, ID, & signature.
  OTHER DOCUMENTS (REQUIRED IF APPLICABLE)
• Transcript/Grades (7-12 grade)
• IEP/504 – Must be the most recent
• Expulsion paperwork
• Caregiver Affidavit Form
• Guardianship paperwork
• Court papers (Custody, ED Rights & Foster placement)
