Snowline Updates 3.26.22

I hope that the spring break went well for all of you. While the COVID-19 pandemic has been such a focus for everyone over the last two years, it is nice for me to think that a return to many of the pre-pandemic activities took place for everybody while our schools were closed.

Snowline Updates 3.18.22

This week of school finishes our first one with the new masking guidelines that are in place for safety against COVID-19. The movement from masks being required to strongly recommended allows for choice among all students and adults in school settings

Snowline Updates 3.11.22

Today marks the end of the universal masking mandate in all California K-12 schools (see below). Amazingly, it has been two years since our schools were closed due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. As hard as this experience has been, it seems significant that we have reached this milestone. I am grateful to all of you who have supported our students and staff members throughout these challenging times. Working together made for better outcomes than we would have realized otherwise.

around the upcoming new conditions in our schools.

Snowline Updates 2.28.22

Governor Gavin Newsom announced the highlights of the updated California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidance for schools in a press release today. After March 11, 2022, the universal masking requirement for K-12 schools will become strongly recommended and will no longer be mandated.

With forces such as the pandemic and weather producing challenges for everyone this week, it is nice to know that COVID-19 infection rates continue to decline. Snowline Updates 2.18.22

The messages for the coming week are as follows:

• Update on Mask Mandate – Governor Gavin Newsom and other state officials released their SMARTER plan today. It has been created to guide what requirements will be in place to address the next phases of COVID-19 in California. The future of masking for students and adults in all school settings will be communicated by state officials by Monday, February 28.
• Schools Closed on Monday, February 21 – All Snowline JUSD schools will be closed in observance of Presidents’ Day and George Washington’s birthday on Monday, February 21.
• School Board Meeting – The next meeting of the Snowline JUSD Board of Trustees is set for Tuesday, February 22. It will take place at the Serrano HS Performing Arts Center and begin at 6:00 p.m.

Schools are in session today 2/23/22

Good morning Snowline,
All Snowline schools will be open for learning today, 2/23/22. Students that live in Wrightwood and ride the bus for Serrano High School and Pinon Mesa Middle School will be picked up at HWY 2 this morning. Please click the link for bus stops and pick-up times!
