Eligibility

WHO CAN ATTEND STATE PRESCHOOL?

For the current school year, children who turn 4 on or before September 1 are given first priority. Children who turn 3 on or before September 1 may be enrolled if there are no 4 year olds on the waiting list.

ADMISSION PRIORITIES

First Priority:
  • Child Protective Service Referrals for 3 and 4 year oldS regardless of income.
  • Children who will be four (4) years old on or before December 1 of the current school year.
  • Families with lowest income shall be admitted first.
Second Priority:
  • Children who are going to be three (3) years old on or before December 1 of the current school year.
  • Families with lowest income shall be admitted first.

** If there is not a waiting list at a school site, families can exceed the income limits by 15%.
